London Duplicate Bridge Club

Our Club meets to play Duplicate Bridge every Wednesday (except some in late December and early January) at the Civil Service Club in Great Scotland Yard. The Civil Service Club is very convenient for all forms of public transport, being just yards from Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross station. We are keen to welcome new members of all standards (except absolute beginners) to our friendly sociable evenings. Knowledge of duplicate, bidding boxes, etc. is expected, but we do have some relatively inexperienced members. It is not necessary to be a member of the Civil Service Club to play or enjoy its facilities on a Wednesday when joining us. The Civil Service Club has an excellent bar offering a full range of drinks at very reasonable prices. There is also a snack-bar for those who want something to eat before the game.

Play starts at 7:30 p.m. and finishes at about 10:45 p.m., table money is £6 for members and £8 for guests. Membership is currently £10 per year.

If you want to come along you might like to call Nigel Bruce on 020 7622 6436 who will arrange for your name to be put on our guest list. Otherwise, why not just turn up one Wednesday and see us. At present we do not operate a rota list for partners, but partners are always available if you come alone. There are usually people in the downstairs bar from 7:00 p.m. - the door staff will point us out. Introduce yourself - we look forward to seeing you ....
